Privacy

Without an account

Your progress, scores and flashcard review dates are stored only in your own browser (local storage). We do not receive them.

Visit statistics

We count page views without cookies. For each view we record the page, the language, the country and city reported by our hosting provider, the referring site, the device type and browser, and a visitor code made by hashing the day, IP address and browser string with a secret. The code changes every day and cannot be turned back into an IP address. IP addresses themselves are not stored.

If you sign in

Sign-in is optional and uses Google or LINE (Microsoft may be added). We request only the "openid" permission, so we do not receive your email address, name or photo. We store a one-way hash of the ID number your provider gives us, which provider you used, and your progress. A session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 60 days. You can delete your account and everything stored on our server at any time from the account page.

Contact messages

Messages sent through the contact form are stored so we can read them. An email address, if you give one, is used only to reply.

Advertising

The site may show ads served by Google. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage this at Google Ads Settings. Ads are not shown inside practice questions.

Children

edubun is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. We do not ask for age and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Service providers

The site runs on Cloudflare (hosting, database, statistics). Sign-in is provided by Google and LINE under their own privacy policies.
