Simbol dan hari libur

Bendera punya 50 bintang sejak 4 Juli 1960, tetapi garisnya tetap 13 sejak 1818.

Lagu kebangsaannya adalah The Star-Spangled Banner (pertanyaan 123).

Hari libur

Independence Day adalah hari libur untuk merayakan kemerdekaan AS dari Britania; ini hari ulang tahun negara (pertanyaan 125). Tanggalnya 4 Juli, pertanyaan bertanda bintang di tes 2008. Pertanyaan 126, bertanda bintang, meminta tiga hari libur nasional AS; tes 2008 meminta dua.

New Year’s Day (Tahun Baru)1 Januari

Hari Presiden (Washington’s Birthday)Senin ketiga bulan Februari

Labor Day (Hari Buruh)Senin pertama bulan September

Veterans Day (Hari Veteran)11 November

Christmas Day (Hari Natal)25 Desember

Veterans Day menghormati orang-orang yang pernah bertugas di militer AS (pertanyaan 128).

Cara aman menjawab pertanyaan 126 adalah memilih tiga hari libur bertanggal tetap yang tidak mungkin tertukar, seperti New Year’s Day, Independence Day, dan Christmas Day.

Latar belakangDaftar 2008 menyebut hari libur bulan Februari Presidents’ Day, sedangkan daftar 2025 menulis Presidents Day (Washington’s Birthday).
