Sistem pemerintahan: Presiden, pengadilan, dan negara bagian
Empat pertanyaan berbeda di daftar 2025 punya jawaban yang sama, yaitu Presiden: siapa panglima tertinggi, siapa yang menandatangani rancangan undang-undang, siapa yang memveto rancangan undang-undang, dan siapa yang mengangkat hakim federal.
Unit ini membahas sisa bagian System of Government: Presiden dan Kabinet, pengadilan, serta pembagian kekuasaan antara pemerintah federal dan negara bagian. Isinya 27 pertanyaan di daftar 2025, nomor 36 sampai 62, lebih banyak daripada unit lain di kursus ini, dan enam di antaranya bertanda bintang untuk pemohon 65/20.
Presiden
Presiden dipilih untuk empat tahun (pertanyaan 36, bertanda bintang) dan hanya boleh menjabat dua periode karena Amendemen ke-22, yang diratifikasi pada 1951 dan mencegah presiden menjadi terlalu kuat (pertanyaan 37). Perhatikan bahwa empat pertanyaan berbeda punya jawaban yang sama, yaitu Presiden: siapa panglima tertinggi, siapa yang menandatangani rancangan undang-undang agar menjadi undang-undang, siapa yang memveto rancangan undang-undang (bertanda bintang), dan siapa yang mengangkat hakim federal.
Cabang eksekutif mencakup Presiden, Kabinet, serta departemen dan lembaga federal (pertanyaan 46). Kabinet memberi nasihat kepada Presiden (pertanyaan 47). Pertanyaan 48 meminta dua jabatan setingkat Kabinet; Secretary of State dan Attorney General pendek dan mudah diucapkan. Daftar 2025 menulis Secretary of War (Defense), sedangkan daftar 2008 menulis Secretary of Defense. Electoral College menentukan siapa yang terpilih menjadi presiden, dan daftar menyebutnya kompromi antara pemilihan presiden oleh rakyat dan pemilihan oleh Kongres (pertanyaan 49).
Pengadilan
Cabang yudikatif mencakup Mahkamah Agung dan pengadilan federal (pertanyaan 50). Cabang ini meninjau dan menjelaskan undang-undang, menyelesaikan sengketa tentang hukum, dan memutuskan apakah suatu undang-undang bertentangan dengan Konstitusi (pertanyaan 51). Kekuasaan federal dan negara bagian

Pertanyaan 62 menanyakan ibu kota negara bagianmu, dan pertanyaan 61, bertanda bintang, menanyakan gubernurmu.
